Nuneaton #2 - Nine closed pubs and clubs

Demolished and housing has been biult upon the site

One of the first pubs I used on a regular basis, not so much as The Crazy Horse (aka The Bonking Donkey)

This too has become a newly built housing estate

In recent times this has been a revolving door pub - open, shut, open, shut, currently (June 2013) there is work "going on" around the pub

Surprising as it may be to a lot of people this is not the original building but the second, the first pub stood on the same side of the road on the corner to the right side (as you look here), this was rebuilt c.1963

Technically not a lost pub, but a lost name, given the original name was the Marquis of Granby - The Granby Head - Bilberries and now The Granby. Not the original site for the Granby that was to the right and behind the image taker

Originally this was the Coach & Horses and is a very, very old pub once being an old-type Coaching Inn. The slow death she has taken is outrageous and the owners should be ashamed

More popular name would be The Grove, opened in 1934 when the original Peacock Inn closed, their licence was transferred here when Captain Cunliffe opened this building as a public house

A pub which has been closed for a long time, in its time was very popular
